MercyMe Provides an Inspirational Ending to the Texas Rangers Game

The upcoming post-game concert for the Texas Rangers will feature MercyMe. This concert is part of the baseball team’s popular Post-Game Concert Series and will be held on Saturday, August 18th. The band will be performing in support of their 2017 album, Lifer.

MercyMe formed in 1994 in Greenville, Texas. Best known for their breakout crossover single “I Can Only Imagine,” the group has released six independent albums and nine studio albums since first signing with INO Records in 2001. The group has had thirteen consecutive Top 5 singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, with seven of them reaching the number one spot.

A film adaptation based on the story behind "I Can Only Imagine" premiered in 2018. To coincide with the film's release, the band issued the career-spanning anthology, I Can Only Imagine: The Very Best of MercyMe, which featured an updated version of the title song recorded for the movie. To date, MercyMe has won eight Dove Awards and has had many Grammy nominations.
