Quick Safety Tip: Outdoor Cooking

During the spring summer, it is great to cook outdoors with family and friends. But it is no fun if you catch a foodborne illness. To keep you and your guests safe, make sure everyone who handles food has washed his or her hands. Keep raw food separate from cooked food. Food should not be left out more than one hour when the temperature is above 90 degrees. All cooked food should reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees.
